Sales & Marketing Coordinator

LAI Live and LAI Video

Leading Authorities, Inc. is looking for a Sales + Marketing Coordinator to work on both its LAI Live and LAI Video teams.

In this role, you will work closely with our two Sales Teams, as well as our Marketing and Accounting departments,  to help put together attractive proposals, air-tight contracts, and track and organize relevant data of our outreach and marketing efforts. This is an entry-level position and a great opportunity to build a career at a diverse company.

LAI Live and LAI Video are two distinguished creative agencies in the fields of live event production and video marketing. We regularly partner with major brands, associations, and some wonderful nonprofits to tell their stories through memorable event experiences and visual communications. As incredible as these projects may be, it is paramount that we also follow thoughtful and organized processes internally and with our partners.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with LAI Live and LAI Video leadership on research and outreach initiatives
  • Work with our Sales and Creative Teams to draft impressive, comprehensive proposals in Canva
  • Build out detailed contract agreements with accurate terms
  • Handle the processing of contracts with accuracy and timeliness
  • Work within CRM to ensure that Sales Team members are reporting activities accurately, provide ongoing reports of team-wide progress and trends, and propose improvements
  • Identify prospective clients and add contact information int our CRM database
  • Manage and relay payment activity for clients and vendors to the Accounting Team
  • Schedule internal and client meetings

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must posses strong communication and organizational skills
  • Able to work independently but within strategic framework of a larger team
  • Good work ethic and curiosity to learn
  • Comfortability with Microsoft Office 365 and Canva
  • Can manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher)
  • Is just an all around decent person, ya know?

LAI Live Event Sales & Service Account Director

LAI LIVE, a leader in live event production for corporation, association, and non-profit clients is looking for a talented, creative, experienced, sales professional and business development guru with a solid history of building client portfolios and selling full-service experiences, either in live events, sponsorships, conference and conventions, or destination management. As the account director, you will be the consistent through line for the client, working alongside the LAI Live team for a collaborative proposal, budgeting, and execution process. This is a DC-based position and only candidates with proven results in lead generation, portfolio growth, and over $500,000.00+ sales per year will be considered. 

The successful candidate will:

  • Have an entrepreneurial approach to their business
  • Research and build relationships with potential new clients
  • Build sales portfolio through individual outreach, networking, marketing leads, cold calls, and more
  • Assess client growth potential for association and corporate clients to help us grow our Live portfolio in all lines of services
  • Achieve sales goals to increase revenue
  • Work closely with our Producers to respond to RFPs and proposals
  • Lead proposal process and negotiations with clients
  • Be creative with show engagement & thematic ideas for clients
  • Represent the LAI Live producers at industry conferences as needed
  • Most importantly, remain focused on sales goals & enjoy the selling process!

  • At least three (3) years sales work experience, preferably in a fast-paced production, entertainment, event, or hospitality sales environment
  • Successful history with outside sales resulting in $500K+ per year

LAI Live Events Internship

Reports to: Senior Vice President, LAI Live

Department: LAI LIVE

Summary:

This DC-based, in-office position offers the right candidate a unique opportunity to learn the ins and outs of live event production including production management, program development, producing, set design, audio visual components, client interfacing skills, entertainment rider management, and more. The internship will include client interaction and on-site event experience. 

Job Duties Could Include:

  • Work closely with Producers and Creative Director on assigned projects
  • Assist with production schedules, equipment spreadsheets, asset collection and other pre-production logistics
  • Assist with creative development for general session programming ideas, awards ceremonies and interactive attendee experiences
  • Contribute to creative output of set design, graphic design, lighting design
  • Provide general support as needed
  • Provide production assistant, stage manager, or breakout support on-site

Knowledge of / or experience with the following a plus:

  • Stage management, graphic design, event production, production management, event management
  • Microsoft Office, PowerPoint and / or Apple Keynote
  • Adobe PhotoShop, AfterEffects, Google Sketch, or other design program

Qualifications:

  • Must possess a professional, positive attitude and be able to work individually or as a contributing member of a team

LAI LIVE Graphic Design Internship

Reports to: Creative Director, LAI Live

Department: LAI LIVE

Summary:

This position offers the right candidate a unique opportunity to learn the ins and outs of live event production in the context of a graphic design role. The candidate will have a chance to grow additional skills in event & logo design, show graphics, proposal design, event marketing, scenic animation and event content development.  This office and on-site setting also provides opportunities to grow professional and client interfacing skills, solution finding skills, plus building your professional portfolio.  The ideal candidate will be available 3-4 days a week.

Job Duties Could Include:

  • Work closely with Art Director and Technical Producers on assigned projects
  • Assist with creative development for general session programming ideas, awards ceremonies and interactive attendee experiences
  • Creation of style boards for event branding
  • Creating and building visual show content decks
  • Assist with design and messaging for LAI Live proposals
  • Live event graphics operations
  • Provide general support as needed

Knowledge of / experience with the following a plus:

  • Working knowledge of Adobe CC design basics (Illustrator, Photoshop, Indesign)
  • Working knowledge of Adobe CC animation workflows a plus (AfterEffects, Premiere)
  • Apple Keynote
  • Microsoft Office

Qualifications:

Freelance Event Production Assistant

Reports to: Senior Vice President of Live Production

Department: LAI LIVE

LAI Live is looking to add a few fresh faces to our Freelance team for on-site support roles such as production assistant, associate producer, breakout producer, and talent management/stage management for upcoming Fall shows and future productions. Candidates based in DC will be given higher prioritization.

Support could include:

  • Work alongside producers for on-location support as a production assistant / runner for live events
  • Backstage talent management for stage rehearsals and live shows
  • On-site project management with venue and contracted vendors
  • Speaker ready room support
  • Coordinate with AV Leads to oversee education session set-up and talent check-in
  • Check-ins with clients for updates and daily briefings.

Freelance Live Show Producer

Reports to: Senior Vice President of Production

Department: LAI LIVE

We are looking for a self-motivated, seasoned producer with experience in a live event production environment – theatre, live and virtual conferences.
Our top candidates will excel at producing virtual, hybrid, and live event stage productions, be able to develop strong relationships with clients, and act as a consultant who shares insights and best practices. Candidates based in DC or Eastern/Central time zones will be given higher prioritization.

A successful candidate will also…

  • Develop and manage client relationships to ensure delivery of exceptional service
  • Manage the production planning process and necessary assets (production timelines, show flow and scripts, room diagrams, and other support documentation) for live events
  • Develop and add expertise to each client production by creating unique ways to deliver a message or program segment, elevating scripts, maintaining cue sheets, and ideating new audience engagement techniques
  • Manage the execution process include leading a large production team, show-calling, labor management, venue logistics, concurrent session management and vendor relations
  • Manage the follow-up process and continued client communications for the contracted event
  • Have a strong understanding of event audio visual equipment, lighting, rigging, scenic and union labor requirements
  • Be proficient in MS word, Excel, internet file sharing and project management software
