SwipeClock

SWIPECLOCK

For years the SwipeClock team has held its annual Mountain Summit in its HQ hometown of Salt Lake City, Utah. Previously focused more on celebration than on content, the SwipeClock team was looking to elevate their event experience, inclusive of a deeper content offering, while keeping the “spirit” of the conference alive.

The Challenge

The SwipeClock team was highly focused on shifting the perception of the event to a knowledge-based users conference, providing attendees with deep dives into new product offerings, sales and development tracks, demonstrations, and keynote speakers. A major restructuring of the organization left the SwipeClock events team with less people, more work, and only a few short months to execute.

The Solution

It was clear that this dedicated team was proud of their product and their partnership with over 850 channel partners across the US and they wanted to honor them through a fun event that reinforced their theme, Catch the Wave, and their new highly content focused time together. They needed this event to feel different, so we started with the scenic. We designed stage graphics that were reflective of the theme and that created a dramatic effect for attendees as they entered the room.

The Execution

We set the tone through music, welcoming each presenter to stage with an anthem that was reflective of their personality and with enough pop to get the audience excited. We worked with all presenters to ensure that they felt comfortable on-stage, providing plenty of rehearsal time complete with slide click-throughs and last minute edits. We knew that the SwipeClock team was strapped for time and lacking extra hands so we took the lead on “all things production”. We liaised with the hotel, ran weekly meetings leading up to the event, made load-in arrangements, designed and ordered all scenic, and ran tech rehearsals.

The Result

A relieved, and happy SwipeClock team! We were thrilled to receive glowing feedback for a seamlessly executed event that allowed the SwipeClock team members to focus on their top priorities, interacting with their attendees and deepening their relationships. The level of sophistication that the scenic added to the room went a long way in creating the subtle shift SwipeClock was looking for. This year felt different for attendees, they noticed the change and it was good!
