International Franchise Association Convention

LAI LIVE partners with the International Franchise Association to bring their large and energetic Annual Conference to a new level of excitement and polish. Unfolding over three and a half days, the IFA event attracts executives from the world’s largest franchise companies, their franchisees, and suppliers to the industry.

Back At It Again

With over sixty concurrent sessions, multiple receptions and several VIP committee meetings, LAI Live paved the way through seven days of constantly changing airwalls, table layouts, AV set-ups and technical mastery of presenter’s laptops. Running between the North & South convention center allowed our team to “get their steps in” before 10am and keep the pace going all day long (We love fitness)!

Modernizing The Event

The IFA has had a long legacy of top level thought leadership, awards, education and recognition as elements of their general session.  LAI LIVE worked with them to modernize the flow, look and feel of the sessions, to add faster pacing, and integrate stories into the content.  LAI LIVE also engaged with IFA to better feature their generous sponsors in the event venue, both in formal sessions, as well as through innovative video installations in common areas.

Awards are a cornerstone of the IFA program. Rather than relying on the traditional speeches from award winners, LAI LIVE, in partnership with LAI Video, produced a series of video vignettes to highlight the winners, and to be able to share with the larger audience, the best practices that the winners exemplified. The videos not only added a moment of honor during the program, but continue to serve as best-in-class examples of inspiration following the event.

LAI and IFA also worked together to streamline the presentation of an important educational credential to industry executives. While the credential is an important measure of achievement for those who achieve it, the process of bringing 200 people on stage during a general session was complicated and time consuming. Proposing a tighter rehearsal, more tightly scripted “showography” and visual elements, LAI LIVE was able to both shorten the presentation as well as inject more gravitas and value into the program.

Columns were no match for the LAI Live team as we designed the graphics to be seen from anywhere in the room. The eighty-foot screens surrounded the audience in the creative content and allowed for IMAG, keynote presentations and sponsor recognition to be shown simultaneously. Delay screens were also added as an extra touch to ensure every seat in the house was a front-row seat.  

Ultimately, the measure of success was in the eyes of the attendees who were able to enjoy an enhanced program, fewer sponsor “commercials, more dynamic and modern staging, and strategically designed video elements to enhance the event experience.

2017 was another record-setting year for attendance and another successful show for LAI Live.
